Mandarin Oriental

The Mandarin Oriental hotel is a beautiful non-gaming hotel and part of the wonderful Mandarin Oriental chain of hotels. It is part of the CityCenter complex and in my opinion the best located out of the lodging options here as it is on the strip as opposed to set back off it like Aria and Vdara. I have been lucky enough to have had a show around this hotel, and the rooms are fantastic. Very luxurious, very spacious, and some have absolutely fab views, and for those of you that are into bathroom amenities, here, they are provided by Shanghai Tang. This would be a great pick for a first time Vegas vistor who doesn’t want to gamble, or a return visitor who isn’t keen on the constant noise of the casino floor. The lobby is ‘in the sky’ and has views of the strip, and the staff are really on the ball here, you don’t get lost service wise like you can in the other big Vegas hotels they are always around for you if you need them. If you aren’t staying here (I’ve not taken the plunge yet, as I can’t imagine being in Vegas and not having a casino at the bottom of the lift), it may still be worth checking out their afternoon tea or their bar for evening drinks, both have views of the middle strip area.
