The smart Hilton Lake Las Vegas has had a rather turbulent past. It started off life as a Ritz Carlton but they couldn’t make it work and moved out, leaving it standing empty. Eventually, boutique hotel Ravella moved in, but they also upped sticks before Hilton acquired the property.
Set in a pretty, upscale area at Lake Las Vegas, it is very removed from proper Las Vegas. It could be a good retreat if you plan to spend a lot of time in the city and want to take a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. However, be warned Lake Las Vegas still hasn’t fully recovered from the recession and even with 3 hotels there the place is usually quite dead…
