El Cortez & El Cortez Cabana Suites

The El Cortez is the first property you’ll see Downtown on Fremont Street. The casino is fairly small, and not particularly glam, but then neither is the rest of Downtown.

The rooms in the El Cortez main building will be cheap and very basic, the newer cabana suites opposite the main building show promise but are still likely to lack the ‘swishness’ of those on the Strip.

The bars, restaurants and casino at El Cortez are often quieter than the other casinos on Fremont, so a good option if you want to be downtown but away from the hustle and bustle.
