Circus Circus

Oh dear. Unfortunately we Brits often get sucked into Circus Circus. With promises of low rates and an ‘on Strip’ location, Circus Circus can seem too good to be true. Sadly, for most holidaymakers it is. Circus Circus is technically on Las Vegas Blvd, but it is a long old trek down to what is recognisably ‘The Strip.’ You can of course jump on a bus that runs the length of the road, but please don’t be under the illusion that you will be in the middle of the action here.

In the interests of fairness, this place always seems packed, and I can’t believe everyone is staying here by accident so Circus Circus does have its fans. But the casino is rundown, the rooms vary from extremely rundown to nothing special, and the place has a very ‘un-Vegas’ like atmosphere, it’s all a bit too kid-orientated (which admittedly works for some holidaymakers).

If staying at Circus Circus is the only way you can get to Vegas, then I’d say go for it, if you have kids, do a bit more research so you know what you are letting yourself in for. My advice, look at the prices of Ballys, Harrahs, Casino Royale, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, Tropicana, Flamingo etc which are all much better located and see if you can’t find yourself a deal at one of those.

Note – one big plus of this place, there is an RV park. If you are on an RV road trip this is one of your options for the night, also see Sam’s Town. Second note – The steakhouse at Circus Circus is bizarrely rated as one of the best in Vegas and is supposed to be very good, if you find yourself at Circus Circus, certainly check this place out.
